More Is Revealed Of Themeborne’s Escape The Dark Sector

More details about Themeborne's upcoming sci-fi adventure game Escape the Dark Sector has been revealed on the UKGE site, telling us a bit more of what to expect from this foray into space.
According to the announcement, the game is set to hit Kickstarter on the 31st of May, the Friday of UK Games Expo, and sees the players take on the role of the crew of an impounded ship, stuck within the brig of a space station.
Using advanced weaponry, and anything else they can find, they must blast a path through the station to their ship, in a desperate attempt to make it home.
Ranged combat has been confirmed for this game, alongside Cybernetic Implants for the crew. The most interesting development though has to be the inclusion of Tactical Combat Actions. These allow you to Flank, Ambush, and Reload, and suggest a much greater focus on action and combat for this game.
The basis of the game is fantastic. Keeping with the dark style of Escape the Dark Castle, it puts me in mind of recent horror games, such as Alien Isolation, or Dead Space, where you find yourself trapped in the unforgiving and claustrophobic confines of a space station where everything is going to Hell.
Themeborne will be bringing prototypes of the new game with them to this year's UKGE.
What would be your survival strategy for being stuck in the midst of space?

I think after this they should do ‘Escape the Dark Factory’ and ‘Escape the Dark Ziggurat’ before concluding the series with ‘Escape the Dark Dome’ where it’s revealed the whole thing has been one big elaborate death trap masterminded by a bald Englishman with an interest in crystals.

How about “Escape the dark, dark cellar, beneath the dark dark stairs, in the dark dark house, in the dark dark street in the dark dark town”? (Where three skeletons lived)
Sounds like a lot of expansion packs
well that bought back memories…
I backed escape dark castle and its an enjoyable fun game. The artwork is quite marmite in terms of whether you like it or not. I did for castle. But it looks like they are using same style for space and it feels wrong. I can get the old school vibe for a fantasy gothic adventure but it doesnt work so well for sci fi.
What about for a Gothic Space Fantasy? 😉
i think i’ll probably back this..
