Monster Fight Club Open Pre-Orders For Cyberpunk Red: Combat Zone
July 6, 2023 by brennon
Monster Fight Club have fired up pre-orders for their skirmish game set in the Sci-Fi Cyberpunk Red universe, the famous roleplaying game by R.Talsorian Games. Cyberpunk Red: Combat Zone will see you fighting for territory across the cities of 2045 where everyone is looking to come out on top.
Cyberpunk Red: Combat Zone // Monster Fight Club
This fast-paced game comes with two gangs to get you started. You can play as the deadly Tyger Claws or the brutal Maelstrom. As well as getting the 32mm scale plastic miniatures for both of these gangs, you also get a game board, scenery (including containers), dice, cards and the full rules for playing the game.

The game makes use of the new Limiter movement and range system where what you do is based on the quality of your actions. This feeds into the [Re]action system where you'll be choosing green, yellow and red actions (alongside appropriate dice) which determines how effective you're going to be and the extent to which you're effective.

The game has been designed to be fast and brutal, echoing the mean streets of the Cyberpunk future. I really liked the plastic range from Monster Fight Club that they have been producing over the years for the Cyberpunk Red roleplaying game and from what I've seen of Combat Zone, it seems like it should be a lot of fun for those who want to get a skirmish fix!

As well as the core set for Combat Zone, you can also get your hands on some expansion packs that allow you to go down a different route and show your allegiance to other factions within the Cyberpunk Red universe. For example, you could go with the Zoners who are looking to make sure you stay out of their hotly contested territory.

You could also side with the Lawmen and their Starter Set. Whether corrupt or trying to make an honest-to-god difference, these fellows are trudging through rain-drenched streets trying to keep some kind of order.

They do look freckin' awesome though in all of that armour and carrying those hefty guns around with them. I wouldn't want to get in the way of that pooch either to be honest. Both of these sets are also available for you to pre-order right now.
You've also got a whole bunch of expansion packs and terrain sets which can be scooped up. These include bonus miniatures for some of the factions mentioned here and others representing Edgerunners who act as specialists for your gangs.
Are you going to be diving in and picking up Cyberpunk Red: Combat Zone?

They need a Bladerunner in the lawman unit?
Sounds cool, and the minis look good. The terrain is neat, but *way* overpriced. I like the no – paint – necessary buildings, but $320 for 6 buildings, plus some scatter is up there.
I do like the Monster fighclub Cyberpunk miniatures, my only real issue is the scale they have gone with. They’re somewhere between 32mm and 35mm (I have a couple of sets) and they look way out of proportion with everything else that I have
