MOMMiniaturas Sculpt Up A Fantastic Fantasy Adventuring Crew
October 10, 2018 by brennon
We haven't really checked in with MOMMiniaturas for a while now but they have still been chugging away on producing some exceptionally characterful miniatures for your Fantasy games. One of their recent projects with this rather grim and heavily armoured Captain.
You could imagine him being the one who is in charge of guarding someone very important, couldn't you? I like the idea that under all that armour isn't a chap but a lady, wearing her hefty armour and that closed off helmet so that she can go about her grim business without anyone knowing who is inside that suit.
Exotic Adventurers
As well as that dark and forboding leader we also have some adventurers who look like they are ready to head out on an adventure to lands unknown or indeed just fight for whatever coin is in your pocket. Meet some snarky Mercenaries...
These particular characters remind me of Nicomo Costa (First Law Trilogy) and his band of mercenaries, The Thousand Swords. You could imagine them as a bunch of swindlers and miscreants, fighting only when the battle suited them.
That additional Fantasy element gets thrown into the mix with this new band of 'heroes' here where we see some big Ogres who are fighting alongside these other human soldiers.
I love the chap leading the way with his boot up on the treasure chest overflowing with gold. I bet he has to protect that from his own men as much as he does the enemy. Those Ogres are also bloody awesome, especially the one on the left.
If you're still getting stuck into Mordheim after all of these years then these would be fantastic soldiers to choose for your warband.
What do you think?

They are very characterful, will have to keep an eye on these for some blood and plunder fantasy shananigans
I think they’d look good in a Lustria themed Mordheim campaign.
I don’t think any of them particularly look like Nicimo Cosca, but that’s because I’ve always imagined him with a beer belly. Although I suppose it could always be him in his younger days.
these are fantastic 🙂 full of character 🙂
Great miniatures.
I think they could make good musketeers ?
