This one is a little old by now but I couldn't miss out on talking about it on the site. We've discussed the awesome Crown Of Command Podcast fanzine, HeroHammer, before here OnTableTop but I totally missed out on the fact that they released Issue #3 last year during the summer!

For those not familiar with HeroHammer, the fanzine is dedicated to the "Golden Age Of Warhammer" (OldHammer) and covering the games and miniatures that came out of Games Workshop throughout the 80s and the 90s.
The magazine is a mixture of painting showcases, battle reports plus hobby and gaming articles that will get you thinking about a range of different games from Games Workshop's back catalogue.

Look at all of those square bases! Gerry would be very happy indeed. In this issue of HeroHammer, the team expand their Warhammer Fantasy Battles campaigns, take a look at some amazing miniature collections, showcase their GoldenHammer Painting competition and even play a game of Man O' War.
Space Marine Warlords Battle // HeroHammer Issue #3
There is even a clash between Epic armies (above) where Squats get to roll out and crush some Orks on the battlefield in style. The magazine is a real love letter to classic Warhammer and it's well worth having a read-through online although you can also get a version to print off at home if you prefer.

This hits right at nostalgia.
I printed it the day it came out… still haven’t found time to read it all :S
Hero Hammer is great and infact everything The Crown of Command, their podcast and their YouTube channel is great. They’ve had some good interviews of some well known faces from Games Workshop’s past which are well worth a listen.
Thanks mate. I really appreciate that you enjoy the podcast and videos 🙂
A great Classic look to the mag.
Thanks heaps Ben and Gerry and to the On Table Top team for your excellent coverage every week on the Weekender series and for showcasing our Fanzine.
Much appreciated guys and all the best for 2023!
Josh
