Minion Take Their Zombies & Goblins To Kickstarter

Minion Miniatures have headed to Kickstarter now with their Zombies and Goblins! There's around twenty five days left and their target is rather ambitious but the miniatures do look very nice indeed...
I'm a big fan of both their goblins and the zombies that they do and with the added large miniatures like the Bugbear Ironshield and Flesh Golem you have some tough guys too. All of these miniatures will be made in high quality plastic, resin and also white metal when needs be.
The aim of the Kickstarter is not only to show off these cool miniatures but also to get a game together that sees both of these forces facing off against each other underground. The game is called Underdeep and takes the form of a skirmish game.
Do you think you'll pledge?
Danger: choking hazard… on the price. When I saw the bugbear I thought “Hmmm… now that would make an interesting shieldwall. Then I saw the price… not so much. And that’s the kickstarter price! I wouldn’t shell that out for a hero.
Reaper Bones bugbears: $2.49.

I bought a dozen of them for just over half the price of the big fellow up there. And there’s nothing wrong with Bones figures. They’re the same ones as in the metal range. The material isn’t great, as it doesn’t hold the same amount of detail, but if you’re building units of big critters, it’s definitely the way to go. They look… Read more »
Is it a skirmish game or a mass battle game? With the amount of minis they are trying to sell on sprue the intention doesnt seem to be “skirmish” … and if its indeed mass battle, the detail on the figs is a bit over the top, hardly necessary for rank and file troops that are most likely expendable rather than important individuals.
The stuff looks great, just i dont understand where its going game wise
I believe it is along LOTR lines in terms of minis but it does allow for larger games. I’ve only flicked through the rules tho.
