Michael Pisarski Takes The Golden Demon With Nagash
May 29, 2017 by deltagamegirl22
We had a chance to drool over this piece at the Crystal Brush at Adepticon, so it's no surprise that it took the Golden Demon at Warhammer Fest. Michael Pisarski won the honour with his jaw-dropping diorama of Nagash, Supreme Lord of the Undead.
A piece like this is where you really see the skill of a painter. There's no bright and flashy paint scheme to detract from the scene, and the shading work is truly impressive. Congratulations to Michael Pisarski!
What do you think of the very impressive, Nagash diorama?

Sublime. Beyond even technique, the atmophere, the composition, the light… This is both truly humbling and an aspirational piece.
I love it when a mini it changed into a diorama. This tells a story as does the paint job. Truly sublime and a deserved winner. It is a powerful piece.
ugh ” is changed ” not ” it changed” ….. bloody stream of conciousness typing
Absolutely beautiful!
Wow…..
I must have missed this first time around.. I have never seen a piece with such atmosphere!
More pics please!!!
That is impressive.
I saw this and i was totally stunned. It’s a true pice of art.
well deserved?
a great model and the chair/diorama makes it pop.
Now next year can he do Alarielle on a huge be-timbered throne of life…… that’d be awesome too ……….yes I am a demanding sod
It looks great. Fantastic, really. Completely deserves to win the Demon.
But I didn’t think it deserved to win the Crystal Brush. The top entry over there was the better entry.
So where does that leave us?
I agree with “Odinsgrandson” comment. I saw this model at Adepticon and it was poorly lighted in the glass cabinet and was located on a low shelf but still did not impress me as much as other models did in the same display. Still, congratulations to the winner.
