Metal King’s RelicBlade Metal Sets Come Together
October 22, 2015 by brennon
Metal King Studios got very excited over the last couple of days as the final metal miniatures turned up for their Fantasy skirmish game known as RelicBlade. The rules still need a bit of tweaking but it's well on the way to being ready to sell...
The final Starter Set for the game will contain the following, most of which you see shown off here...
- Eleven highly detailed metal miniatures
- Forty one fully illustrated cards consisting of...
- Ten character cards, twenty-five upgrades, and six relics
RelicBlade looks like it's going to be a lot of fun. I love the design of the cards and it sounds like this is going to be a very self-contained game which has potential for expansion over time with new packs of miniatures and cards. There is also the progression element to look forward to.
Metal King also began painting up some of their models...
That's some great work on those models and they have really taken the paint well. I'm all for there being more Dragonborn/Lizardfolk style warriors that aren't Aztec or Mayan in origin on the tabletop. Now we just need to keep an eye out for a full gameplay demo of this to see how it plays.
What do you think of their models?

This looks very cool! I love small-scale skirmish games. This is kind of what I was hoping AoS would be.
