Meet The Lumbering Forest Troll Of Werewoolf Miniatures
March 12, 2016 by brennon
Werewoolf Miniatures have now released a lumbering oaf of a creature that is no less dangerous for its diminutive intelligence. See what you think of their brutish Forest Troll.
I could very much see this becoming part of a wonderful scenario where you are wandering through a good and this creature comes out of his cave looking to crush you. I really like the character of the model too as he scratches his bottom.
As well as that I genuinely like the facial features they've managed to show off here. I like that gormless leer as he stares at his next meal.
What do you think?

very very very nice
Well I like him.
I like them but they look way more like DnD ogres than trolls. Not a bad thing just not really what I think when I hear troll. I do think it’s closer to the trolls from that Troll Hunter movie though.
he looks good.
I think it looks great except for the legs which are only ok. They are a bit too shrunken for my taste.
It looks just fine. It has character and there’s nothing wrong with the quality of the sculpt. Honestly, I find the idea of blaming small legged monsters on Mantic hilarious. This sort of disfigured look has been a staple in minis for close to two decades. EVERYBODY is guilty of this at some point, from your beloved GW to Reaper to smaller companies like Dragonblood. And yes, even many of the otherwise fantastic and beautiful Confrontation minis suffered from this. I, myself, have a handful of Foundry ogres that I’m pretty sure date to the ’90s, that have tiny little… Read more »
