Meet The Dragonkin & Dwarves Of Steamforged’s Godtear

Building on their previews for Godtear, Steamforged Games showed off more of the renders for some of the champions. I tend to get excited when I see Dwarves but Raeth'Marid, The Unyielding Tide might have changed my mind.
Rising from the oceans this fellow has yet to define his purpose and sacred duty in this new age that we see unfolding in Godtear but he looks damn awesome doing it. Good Dragonborn/kin models are hard to come by and they always look more like the typical Lizardmen we've seen from Games Workshop in the past.
This is an awesome looking piece and I hope we're going to be seeing more of these Dragonkin coming to life over the coming months to support him.
Dwarven Kin
Another champion looking to make his mark in Godtear is Rhodri Ironheart here alongside some of his Dwarven warrior kin.
Looking to restore his honour in the eyes of his people this fellow is off on an epic quest indeed. It's cool to think that these might have been some of his loyal followers who have stuck with him through thick and thin.

Well Welsh Dwarfs are a nice variation on Scots Dwarfs and the Dragonkin is great also , I’s say I don’t need/want another game but I have already run up the white flag on this one … I’m in.
Love me some Dragonkin, even more than Dwarves ( apologies @beardragon14 and sexy&furious @brennon 🙂 ). Having said that, golden age of gaming or not, i’m not in a position to tax my wallet any further currently, so it’s got to be #nags and i’ll have to let this one go into the wild untried.

I like them all, i just hope the dwarf leader turns up, i dunno, less stoic and more “action” like is retinue.

I like my Dwarves stoic, but each to their own. I believe they said they will reveal more champions probably the 2 blacked out in the pre-ks set which seems to be an elf and an orc.
Well the orc at least sounds cool …. but why bring elves into this 😀

That’s true it is like playing fooball (used ias the generic term here not specifically refering to Association Football) … every one needs a team to hate
nice clean sculpts and the boon of decent dragonborn.
don’t know about more dynamism though @duster if they’re single piece PVC.

Really liking the sculpts so far, want to see steamforges take on orcs. Great news that Tom Lischman is now sculpting for steamforged after work on moonstone I expect great things and dwarves are a good start.
