Medbury Offer New Historical Dark Age Miniatures In Metal!

Medbury Miniatures, who usually offer up 3D Printable Historical and Fantasy miniatures for you to print off at home, have now taken a step towards producing physical miniatures as well. Their new range of Dark Age Vendel Era miniatures are now available on their webstore.

Vendel Warriors With Swords // Medbury Miniatures

There are a good variety of options for you to choose from as part of their first set of metal releases. These Vendel Era warriors would be great for representing many of the Saxon and Scandinavian warriors that would have been fighting during the period. They have those stunning helms, mighty beards and big cloaks!

As well as you regular Swordsmen, you can also call on the might of these Personalities who are good for leading your armies to victory on the tabletop. Again, I love the details here and I love the chainmail in particular which hangs down from the rim of the helmet on the fellow on the left.

You can also get your hands on a set of Warriors With Spears if you're looking to build up your rank and file for this force as well. You'll need to get your own spears to arm these fellows with but that shouldn't be too hard as plenty of creators produce those.

Spread across three sets, you can pick up each of them individually or you can have a look at the big Vendel Bundle which gives you a solid warband of miniatures for use in games like SAGA for example.

This marks the start of something pretty awesome from the folks at Medbury. A lot of folks like their range but don't have access to a 3D printer so this is going to be a welcome change. It will be awesome to see if some of the previous releases get folded into this metal range in the future.

It should be noted that these Vendels are coming from further afield than normal, especially for us Europeans, so bear in mind the shipping costs if you're looking at the range.
