Medbury Showcase Fantasy & Historical Releases For January
January 2, 2023 by brennon
Medbury Miniatures has been showcasing the mix of both Fantasy and Historical units that are going to be available to those backing them on Tribes and Patreon throughout the month of January. Some brand new Middle-earth adjacent miniatures enter the collection plus some Medieval warriors.
January 2023 Historical Set // Medbury Miniatures
We start with the Historical offerings for the month of January. The focus here is on a set of 13th Century Knights who are shown here at rest. So, rather than charging off into combat, these would be pretty good for those wanting to dioramas or perhaps have a more stoic commander, watching from afar whilst others do the fighting.
13th Century Knights At Rest // Medbury Miniatures
As well as the 13th Century Knights, we also have a set of grizzled Crossbowmen who are getting ready to plug your enemies full of bolts. You get a good mix of armoured Crossbowmen who would be great on the battlefield or as beleagured town guard who have found themselves dealing with a particularly pesky set of bandits. Some of them also come with the Pavise to hide behind. That frontage is just crying out for a transfer or perhaps some daring freehand.
Fantasy Releases
As well as the Historical options, we also have some fantastical elements for this month.
January 2023 Fantasy Set // Medbury Miniatures
The focus continues to be on expanding their Beowulf-themed "Rohan" forces that you might find riding to war. There is a new miniature for Unferth who might serve as a snake-tongued advisor, perhaps under the sway of some deadly wizard. You could also just use him as a foil to your Beowulf and Hrothgar looking back at Medbury's previous releases.
Unferth // Medbury Miniatures
Fantasy fans for this month will also be able to get their hands on a pipe smoking Dwarf, a handful of Wildmen and plenty of Orcs armed with pikes, bows and some familiar-lookin shield designs. Perhaps these warriors are the ones threatening the lands of Unferth and his supposed kinsmen?
These miniatures are available for the month of January from Medbury Miniatures and will then be added to their expanding webstore over on MyMiniFactory.
Which is your favourite of the two collections for this month?
