March Into Battle Alongside Schilling Figuren’s Dismounted Dragoons

Schilling Figuren's have put together a set of metal miniatures for use with your Napoleonic battling. See what you think of their Dismounted Dragoons who come as a pack, as you can see below, and individually over on their website...
They are presented here in marching order so you could rank up a whole bunch of these and have them trailing across the battlefield in column. A nice and quick way to get from point A to point B but also a juicy target for an ambush!
The original masters were sculpted by Ingo Gohlke. There is such a wealth of miniatures available for this era you'd have no problem mixing and matching sets to create a rather distinct looking army.

Worth maybe noting that these I think are 28mm as Schlling DOA mixture of 1/72 and 28mm figures from a variety of sculptors and small companies on their site

curious to know how often dragoons would have formed up in such a manner, in the pursuit of Moore’s army it was their flexibility and speed that made them an effective harassing force – would forming up like regular infantry really have been to the best of their talents?
bigdave, no, this would not have been the best use for these units. Also, and I could be wrong, but it is my understanding that these units rarely fought on foot and that it was mainly very early In the Empire wars and late Revolutionary wars. Researched this about 30 years ago so memory, what there is left of it, could be failing me on this. Have not done much “Penninsula” campaign research so have no thoughts on that theater.
