Manticores and Undead Pirates Bring Trouble To The North Of ArcWorlde
August 21, 2017 by dracs
Warploque have published some previews for their upcoming rule set, ArcWorlde: Troubles In The North, including a monstrous manticore mini and a peak at some ArcWorlde art.
The Man-Eating Manticore
The manticore is one of the most dreaded creatures of classical mythology, and now Warploque's model have given that beast new form.
The manticore is supposed to be a lion-like creature with the face of a man and the tale of a scorpion.
Warploque have taken this original concept and ran with it, making it a lot leaner and meaner than ever before. This thing looks genuinely scary!
The Art of ArcWorlde
As work carries on with ArcWorlde: Troubles in the North, Warploque have shown off a few pieces of artwork.
The first of these is of Captain Bjorn Whitewulf, the leader of the undead pirates.
Rather than the shambling, skeletal look a lot of games go with for undead pirates, this guy looks more spectral, a nice direction as it puts me in mind of terrible ghost ships.
Alongside this foul fiend of the seas, we have been given a glimpse of a stat page from the new rulebook.
That ice queen is an intriguing figure. With her name, she could be inspired by either a priestess from Norse mythology, or the Vila or Slavik superstition.
I'm dying to find out who she is, but until the official release, I guess I'll just have to let it go.
Are you excited for this next step in ArcWorlde?

Cor. That is stunning!
Nice addition to the other great monsters already in that range. A rules set too far for me, but I will pick up some of those beasties.
