Mantic Games Creating Fantastic Giant Robot Hellboy!

Mantic Games has announced that they are releasing a new Giant Robot Hellboy based off of the concept art by Mike Mignola with some of the money from the sale of the figures going to the World Central Kitchen charity.

Here is the statement from the team at Mantic Games about what they are hoping to achieve with the release of the model and the help they can offer...
"During the COVID-19 outbreak, Mike Mignola has been entertaining fans with new illustrations nearly each day. These range from characters from the Mignolaverse to icons in popular culture. However, one of the most eye-catching was Giant Robot Hellboy–a massive mechanical version of Hellboy.
“When we saw that illustration, we just knew we had to make a model of it,” explains Ronnie Renton, CEO of Mantic Games. “Plus, we really wanted to do something to compliment the fantastic work Mike Mignola has done to raise money for World Central Kitchen during this difficult time.”
Each limited-edition Giant Robot Hellboy will be handmade in resin by the team at Mantic Games. It will be a new playable character that can be used to play Hellboy: The Board Game in solo mode. After all, a huge robot isn’t likely to need a great deal of help dispatching the forces of evil!
For each Giant Robot Hellboy sold, 10% of the proceeds will be donated to World Central Kitchen–the same charity Mike Mignola has been raising money for with his charity auctions during the COVID-19 outbreak. World Central Kitchen has served more than 10 million meals to students, families in need, seniors, and frontline healthcare heroes in North America and Spain during the pandemic."
Here is how the miniature for Giant Robot Hellboy is looking right now in its render stage!

This is a really neat miniature for a very good cause. It would be a fun project to paint up for your Hellboy collection and will be available throughout June with a release pencilled in for July. There is more coming for Hellboy too with the announcement of the B.P.R.D Archives expansion available soon alongside Baba Yaga and Hecate.
Are you tempted to dive in and get some more Hellboy?

That design really gives me Mazinger Z vibe.
Damn skippy! Now do we get an Aphrodite-1 companion piece as Liz?
BAH! Now all I can process is the Gigantor theme song in my head.
Ooh the iron Hellboy.
Too bad I already cut my ties with Privateer Press (you bring real-world issues into your company, you can kiss my business goodbye), because this would make a GREAT MonPoc model.
WHat did they do?
They made a posting earlier this week stating that they will be donating a chunk of their profits to the NAACP, an organization which provides bail to rioters who have been arrested during the BLM protests, as well as posting their support for BLM. My issues stem from a couple of points: 1) their job is to design and sell miniatures, not to take a political stance of any sort, be it conservative or liberal. That is not the purpose of their company. 2) miniature wargames and roleplaying are designed as a form of escapism, that lets you set aside… Read more »
I completely agree. Thanks for letting me know. I am glad that I never got into warmachine and now I will never support this game.
You’re welcome. It’s a shame too; Warmachine had some really great steampunk models that made for great pieces in a bunch of different games – Malifaux, Steam Wars, Dystopian Legions, Warhammer, etc. I’m hoping that PP learns from this mistake and backs off, but like they say, if you get woke, you go broke.
Let them go broke. They deserve it for pandering to the racist mob. I hope naughty dog also goes broke for making that shit game LOU2.
