Mantic Games Launch 3D Printing Campaign For Deadzone
July 24, 2024 by brennon
Mantic Games are now on Frontier over on MyMiniFactory with a new campaign looking to offer awesome 3D Printable Sci-Fi miniatures, terrain and more for those wanting to dive into Deadzone or supplement their collection.
Deadzone Frontier Campaign // Mantic Games
The Frontier Campaign offers options for you to dive into Deadzone for the first time or simply build on your collection via the medium of 3D Printing. You can get your hands on a selection of different "pledge levels" which will get added to your MyMiniFactory library quick as a flash.
IMPORTANT NOTE FROM MANTIC: Deadzone is (of course!) still continuing as a physical game, with new content both this summer and beyond!
Deadzone Reward Summary // Mantic Games
There are options for you to go all-in and get your hands on both the Strike Teams and the Terrain (as well as PDF rules) but you can also get each of those sets separately with just the Strike Teams and just the terrain. Maybe you're not really into Deadzone but you like their modular terrain? Maybe you would love to use the Strike Teams in Stargrave? You can pick up whatever works for you it seems.
There are four Strike Teams for you to choose from as part of this Frontier campaign.
Strike Teams // Deadzone
You can get your hands on the Erias Contract which allows you to go down the route of a badass mercenary company from the world of Warpath/Deadzone. Nuts And Bolts introduces a band of sneaky Goblins who have stepped out from the shadows of the Marauders and are looking to strike out on their own.
The Hand Of The Seven brings the genetically engineered Enforcers to the tabletop with a selection of different soldiers who should cover the variety of tasks that you'll tackle on the tabletop. The Tersia Revolutionaries cap things off and bring some clanking robots and cyborg "heroes" to the tabletop for your games.
On the terrain side of things, you've got a selection of modular terrain from Deadzone for making excellent tabletops.
Modular Terrain // Deadzone
As the Frontier campaign continues, the team are unlocked more miniatures and additional bonus elements that can be added to your collection. You can also get dice (so you can dive into playing the game), a gaming mat and more. I quite like the Surge And Destroy Strike Team coming soon for those playing as the Veer-Myn.
Are you going to be checking out this new Deadzone venture?

An intriguing new venture!
Nice to see some of the old metals back in new STL form.
My one misgiving would be terrain. I have constructed acres of their plastic scifi kits, and I love them, but getting those clips to snap in often requires a set of pliers handy to snap them in, and any 3D-printed material is NOT going to want that level of pressure place upon them. So I guess as long as you are okay with snapping/cracking a lot of pieces, then tread carefully.
In a pinch, you could probably do it with an FDM printer and an ABS filament. However I would rather stick with buying the hard plastic sets so I can glue them with poly cement.
