Macrocosm Join Forces With Needy Cat Games For Bonefields Project
February 13, 2018 by brennon
Macrocosm is bringing their new range of Bonefield models to the tabletop via Kickstarter on February 23rd. In addition to that, they're going to be working with Needy Cat Games to create the rules that go alongside the range of miniatures.
The team are going to be working to bring a thematic and fun set of rules to the tabletop for you to use all of the undead creatures that Macrocosm are creating. Talking of models, here's another look at some of them coming your way...
The image above shows off the Dwarf Necromancer and his horde of skeletal Dwarves who have given up digging for gold and instead are supporting his battle against the Goblin Vampire!
It seems that even in death there is no escaping those ancient grudges between the races. This range is as quirky and original as we've seen from Macrocosm and it puts a different spin on the Fantasy genre.
Will you be keeping an eye out for this project?

I haven’t seen the vampire goblin before!! Man, must have been some desperately thirsty vampire to want to drain a goblin haha. I’m going to have to keep my eye on this…
Dwarf skeletons its always good to have a range of figures dungeon delving guarding the kings tomb & magic weapons.
Love the dwarf sculpts particularly, and great choice of material for these.
The goblin vampire looks like Konrad von Carstein.
Awesome Thanks
I’d quite like a unit of Undead Dwarfs for my KoW army. Same with the Goblins.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what Needy Cat Games does with the rules. James worked on Silver Tower and Gorechosen, which are both brilliant. Not to mention Age of Sigmar, Bloodbowl and Necromunda. Bloody hell, exciting stuff.
Thanks for the compliments! The exciting part is that this is the first proper collaborative Needy Cat game, where I’m working with another designer (Sophie, the other half of NCG). She’s a veteran gamer and hobbyist but this is her first stab at full from-the-ground-up game design, but I’m gonna be keeping a close eye throughout and making sure it’s up to the standards people expect! I’m hoping you’ll enjoy what we come up with 🙂
Really looking forward to this; Macrocosm has been cranking out some great models for years now – they’re due a proper rules system and Bonefields looks like a great and characterful way of getting their first system out!
James… you might want to have a look at taking a pass at the Macrocosm Sci-Fi universe as well… that’s been begging for a proper rules set for years…
Its a good idea….
