Lucid Eye Release New Elf Warriors & Samnite Spearmen
January 13, 2025 by brennon
Lucid Eye released a bunch of new miniatures over the weekend for both their The Red Book Of The Elf King range and also the Wars Of The Middle Sea collection. We start with some deadly-looking new Elf Companions.
Elf Companions With Swords // Lucid Eye
These Companions With Swords are some new elite soldiers for you to include in your Red Elf games, whichever scale they take. You could use these for the skirmish game, the roleplaying game or maybe use them to lead units of other Elf warriors in games like Midgard Heroic Battles.
Ancient Battles
On the Historical side of things but with a bit of a mythological twist for good measure, you can now get your hands on a couple of different sets of Samnites to use when creating a small warband for a variety of different games.
Samnites I // Lucid Eye
The Samnites were the Ancient Italic peoples that would have lived in what is modern South-Central Italy. They became enemies of the Romans and fought them across three different wars. Despite a valiant victory or two they were eventually subjugated and would join forces with the Romans in a series of campaigns before becoming entirely consumed and ceasing to exist as a distinct peoples.
Samnites II // Lucid Eye
Both of the new sets of Samnites come in white metal although you will have to provide your javelins or spears. They are nicely detailed and could be of use in some smaller skirmish level games. They would also make good troops to fight against the new general that Lucid Eye also released this week.
Pyrrhus // Lucid Eye
Pyrrhus would have come up against the likes of the Samnites in the unfortunate Pyrrhic War that coined the phrase, "Pyrrhic victory". The version of him here is a rather neat Historical/Fantasy take on the character and you could use him for something a bit fantastical if you prefer rather than just going down the Historical route.
These miniatures are available right now for you to scoop up!
