Lucid Eye has released a whole bunch of new 28mm metal miniatures for those wanting to dive into a bit of Ancient warfare on the tabletop. Romans and Macedonians are the focus this time around, building on their Historical-yet-Fantastical options.

Roman Consuls - Lucid Eye

Roman Consuls // Lucid Eye

A pair of characters lead the way with the Roman Consuls offering up direction on the battlefield. I like the idea that one of them is a decidedly tried and tested individual who has seen many campaigns. The other is a pompous upstart who has come all the way from Rome just to say they have been on campaign.

As well as the characters, the folks at Lucid Eye have also bulked out this collection with a massive amount of different troops and bonus options for your legions.

What we're showing here is just a small part of the larger set of releases from the folks at Lucid Eye. More can be found HERE. What's nice about these sets, and the different variations of the sets, is that they seem perfectly designed for ranking up into BIG regiments.

Velite II - Lucid Eye

Velite II // Lucid Eye

They are posed as such that you could mix and match these alongside different packs to make larger regiments of troops that are lined up and ready for battle. If you wanted to make use of just one or two packs though, these could also work for skirmish wargames. When they are spread out across the tabletop you won't see the duplicate sculpts so immediately.

Phalangite Mid Pike II - Lucid Eye

Make sure to dive into everything that's popped up from Lucid Eye over on their webstore. These would work very nicely alongside their Ziggurat collection, opening up the options for a bit of Bronze Age Fantasy-themed warfare on the tabletop. There are plenty of games out there that could make use of these models, especially coming at things from the Fantasy angle. You could always use these for a bit of Clash Of Spears too!

Are you going to be checking out this new set of releases from Lucid?
