Looney Labs Conquers Mount Olympus In New Fluxx & Loonacy!
January 12, 2022 by fcostin
The Gods of Olympus have joined us on the tabletop through many different mediums. Whether you want to embed them into your hobby with Raging Heroes, or rewrite the stories of Myth in board game format with Elysium. Looney Labs have announced two tabletop titles putting the Gods of Olympus front-and-centre for casual gamers to share in their wealth of power too. Bringing Olympus Fluxx and Olympus Loonacy out of the Home of the Greek Gods and onto our tables.
Olympus Fluxx // Looney Labs
Featuring both Gods and Artifacts told through the stories of Age, players will take to their rule-changing and card-drawing themes of Fluxx with some godly spice utilising the power of Thunder and the contents of Pandora's Box. Featuring both Greek and Roman themes, players will have access to a portfolio of 21 Mythological characters, whilst adding a "Roman Times" rule, which forces the player to reference their chosen God counterparts!
Olympus Loonacy // Looney Labs
I am a visual learner and take really well to image-based games. In past, have had a whale of a time playing Loonacy. Loonacy encourages players in a race to empty their hand of cards through a wild panic against the other players' matching abilities. Bringing the theme of Olympus in the new version, players will need to keep an eye on their favourite deities in a frenzy of tension and giggles.
If you are like me and enjoy stories of Myth and Fairy tales, these new mythology titles will be heading into FLGS stores on May 5th 2022, so be sure to keep your eyes open for Zeus, Hera and Poseidon in the new and upcoming editions of Fluxx and Loonacy.
I still believe that the best version of Fluxx is Monty Python Fluxx. Prove me wrong!
