Oathsworn Miniatures has been previewing so many of the new miniatures coming as part of the new Starter Set next year that will sit alongside the new edition of Burrows & Badgers. As always, the miniatures are gorgeous and perfect for those wanting a bit of a Redwall-esque kick.

Otter Knight #1 - Burrows & Badgers

Otter Knight // Burrows & Badgers

One of the most recent miniatures to be shown off was this Otter Knight. An interesting story popped up about this miniature as it replaced one that wasn't quite right! An element was missed from the last miniature so Oathsworn sculpted an entirely new miniature to fix the issue! That is dedication. The new Otter Knight above then got a new weapon and I think they were able to create a miniature that "feels" heavy.

Otter Knight #2 - Burrows & Badgers

Next up, we turn to the Rogues warband that will be included as part of the two-player starter set. These are your dashing heroes or villainous thieves depending on which side of the coin you come down on.

Squirrel Magic User #1 - Burrows & Badgers

Squirrel Magic User #2 - Burrows & Badgers

One of the new miniatures is this gorgeous new Squirrel Magic User, summoning magic from the ether and posing in a super cool way as they get ready to blast someone!

Weasel Warrior #1 - Burrows & Badgers

Weasel Warrior #2 - Burrows & Badgers

One of the things about the new Starter Warbands is that Michael from Oathsworn wanted to sculpt them so they are What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG). This means that all of the arms, armour and equipment that you see on the miniatures will be present within the rules. This makes it super easy for someone diving into the game for the first time as they don't have to do much in the way of warband building.

Little Owl #1 - Burrows & Badgers

I also like that these new warbands come with a good mixture of different animals for you to choose from. You're not getting just your typical mice, foxes and otters. You're also getting flying miniatures like the Little Owl above. This means that you'll get to learn more mechanics straight from the off when diving into Burrows & Badgers.

A few Royalist squires also ended up popping up in some of the previews from a few weeks ago.

Mouse Archer #1 - Burrows & Badgers

Mouse Archer #2 - Burrows & Badgers

These fellows come with bows and arrows and will offer some much-needed ranged support for use in Burrows & Badgers. As your knights clank forward in their full plate, these fellows will be firing arrows at your enemies.

Rabbit Archer #1 - Burrows & Badgers

Rabbit Archer #2 - Burrows & Badgers

If anyone knows me, you'll know that I really enjoy a good archer and so these are going further and further up my list as Must Haves. One of the nice things about Burrows & Badgers as a whole is that all of these miniatures are, for the most part, one-piece metal or resin figures. Additionally, all of the constituent parts are so well-defined that they are a real joy to paint. You can also make fur look good with very little effort!

All of these miniatures will see a release next year as part of the Starter Set and beyond. A perfect companion to the new edition of the rules!

What do you make of these new miniatures?
