Litko Bases Leave Your Beasts Going in Circles
February 15, 2015 by dracs
Litko have just released two new large scale circular bases that will be perfect to help put your monstrous beasties on the appropriately shaped bases for the game you use them in.
In and of themselves, these bases are rather boring, being just plain circular bases. However, the possibilities they present in light of Warhammer Fantasy's move towards circular bases are what make them note worthy.
Plenty of people have speculated that someone needs to come out with circular bases to help people transition their existing fantasy models to the new format. Litko's plain bases allow players to do this without having to detach the original square base.
Do you think plain bases like these are a useful addition to Litko's range of gaming accessories?

What is the obsession with bases… maybe it’s just me or as a historical war gamer we have been making our own bases for decades never an issue… For single figures 1 pence pieces and 2 pence pieces offer the cheapest alternative. And for larger bases I use plasticard cut to size… simples.
As much as I have made my own bases for years starting off using the cardboard from cornflakes packet then progressing to plasticard then like Rob to 1 and 2p’s ,buying from a local UK supplier 20 40×20 lasercut mdf bases for a pound is a no brainer for me
Litko bases are nice though Figures in Comfort dont seem to stock them in the UK and I have been stung with customs when ordering from the states
EM4 has them cheap enough, about a pound for 20 of them. They also have lots of different flavours. For bigger figures I use cheap linoleum tile (12″ by 12″) at a dollar a throw. They’re sticky on the back, so I just score the tile in the middle and fold it in on itself. Cuts with scissors, lasts forever.
@dracs Slow news day?
