The Lion Roars at the Armies of Rome with Scibor’s Latest SciFi Knights
June 24, 2014 by dracs
Scibor Monstrous have released two new SciFi Knights that will make perfect alternative heroes to lead your forces of the future.
First up is their fourth hooded Lion Knight.
Now while this model is sporting my pet peeve of massive shoulder pads, you can't deny that it is certainly an imposing sculpt, with an excellent level of detail. The wings framing the head mark the figure out as a character, as does the ornate nature of his armour and weapon, so I could easily imagine this figure leading an army of Dark Angel Space Marines.
The second release from Scibor is the Roman Pretorian Centurion.
The Pretorian is far less gran than the Lion Knight, yet it still manages to convey a sense of leadership and is probably my favourite of the two. It's a stance and design we have seen before, but the features of the head help to give it a sense of individuality.
Would you be tempted to use either of these two minis in your armies?

Funny how everyone drools over a Primarchy thing when Forgeworld puts one out, yet when Scibor makes one that is as good or better for a third of the price the GW folks ignore it lol. Not my thing, but all their sci-fi stuff is really well done.
They would still make brilliant Captains the second could be space wolf perhaps.
