Lex Luthor Joins A Cast Of Villains For Knight Model’s DC Game
December 14, 2016 by brennon
We saw that Batman & Robin were released yesterday from Knight Models and now joining them we have a cast of villains led by the deadly Lex Luthor in his battle armour.
I have to admit that I didn't know Lex Luthor had this awesome suit of armour until I'd played Injustice: Gods Among Us. It is rather epic though and it does turn Lex Luthor into an intelligent and now brutal fighting force to be reckoned with.
Other villains draw power from different sources like Black Adam and Reaper.
Black Adam is the nemesis of Shazam within the DC world and, if I remember rightly, was going to be played by Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, until the project was shelved. I reckon he'd be awesome for it!
Reaper has been multiple characters throughout his period in DC and fights with two deadly scythes.
The design of the character also inspired the creation of The Phantasm, a fantastic character brought to life in the Batman Animated Series.
Henchmen
Following on from these main characters we also have some henchmen fighting alongside both heroes and villains. First up is Aaron Cash & Quick Response Team.
As you might imagine they could well be a useful force to keep the bad guys at bay before you head into the fighting and take down their master.
Mr Freeze has some chilly looking fellows on his side too, now available as a separate set.
The design is very cool for these Thugs, drawing on the look from the Arkham series of video games. It does seem like a good idea to have a snow shovel when Mr Freeze is around and it doubles up as a weapon too!
What do you think of the other releases and which is your favourite?

“Black Adam is the nemesis of Shazam”
Captain Marvel is the superhero. DC just have to use Shazam in anything that markets the character because Marvel own the TM to Captain Marvel.
On a related note, if anyone is interested in copyright and TM law in geekdom, Captain Marvel makes for a great case study,
I may be wrong but I think I heard that a few years ago (might have been during the New52 reboot), that DC renamed Captain Marvel to Shazam. If true, how the hell he can say his name without accidentally transforming is beyond me.
I’m aware he took over from the wizard who gave him his magic word, and who was also called Shazam. I wasn’t aware he also took over the name and stopped using Captain Marvel, though I didn’t pay a lot of attention to the New52 so I could easily have missed it.
Don’t quote me on it as I can’t recall where I read it. It’s entirely possible wherever I read it had gotten their facts mixed up and thought his taking over the role of the wizard also meant taking over the name.
Let’s split the difference and just call him Billy Batson for now*
*Assuming it still is Billy and New52 or Rebirth changed that of course.
Those are really good looking models. It will be interesting to see what Lex Luthor’s gang will look like and if Black Adam gets one or will he just have team with his wife Isis and brother-in-law Osiris.
Lex and Black Adam don’t have rules for the Batman game (at least, not currently), just the DCU Game, which is more like the Marvel game — no gangs, just supers.
Wow the Reaper would scare the tiny pants off Robin!
Which Batman universe are Aaron cash & Quick Response Team from?
The response team are from the arkham games
they all look great is Lex Luthor’s suit basketball proof yet?
I love the snow shovel.
Im loving the Lex Luthor model. Black Adam is looking good too, and the movie has not been shelved. Im liking reaper and the other crew too.
I just ordered the Mr Freeze set that was recently released, those guys aren’t in it. I want them. They are called ‘Snowy’ on their character cards (Snowy 1, Snowy 2, etc.). I think its… cool…
Aaron Cash has been in the comics too.
You’d have thought that after all these years Lex would have learned to put a helmet on his suit; speaks volumes about his arrogance and ego that he hasn’t ;p
Arrogance and ego all the way. Is that iron man? No its purple and green dude. Ah, Lex Luthor.

I’d buy Lex Luther just for the models
