Les Grognards Now Up For Pre-Order From Wargames Altantic
December 11, 2019 by brennon
Wargames Atlantic has now put their Les Grognards Sci-Fi kit up for pre-order as they look towards their release in January 2020.
The sculpts for this particular box were done by the hand of Bob Naismith and the illustration on the cover by Diego Gisbert Llorens. Inside the set, you'll find enough components to make twenty-four hard-plastic 28mm figures for use in your Sci-Fi games, be they grimdark or not.
Here is a look at the sprues and how the sets come together...
You can see that you get a fair array of different bodies, arms, accessories and heads on that main sprue but also as part of a secondary sprue also included with the box. This gives you those more wild and over-the-top options!
To give you a run-down of it properly, there are the options for standard rifles, heavy lasers, flamethrowers, pistols, swords, heavy plasma guns, communication packs, and grenades. This could be just what some folks need in order to step it up and do a different looking Imperial Guard regiment from the standard Cadians.
You can also see how they've come to life with a splash of paint in the mix.
I really like what they've done here with the blue and white and a touch of red but I think that things would also look great with an element of deep red in the mix of you want to theme them more towards the idea of the British on the warpath.
Will you be looking to add these into the mix and use them for your Sci-Fi games?
Let us know below and tell us what kind of paint scheme you're going to do with when it comes to painting up this army!

I like ’em. 192 heads also gives you a few spares for the bits box and plenty of spare arms as well. Hope they sell loads of them, because as a company they are taking a big risk and trying something a bit different – and it is interesting to see what they will come up with next!
They’re a fantastic set, and always a pleasure to read Bob Naismith’s name on the credits of a project *salutes*
Ooh a great alternative guard battleforce.
I did one better and ordered a sprue with the great wargamer survey voucher I had. Going to see how they look for myself before picking up anymore.
Same here. I hope they don’t take too long to get those sprues out, I’ve been dying to check them out ever since the announcement.

The mini’s are French in theme with heads for the Old Guard, Foreign Legion, and even some WW1/WW2 Adrian Helmets in there.… Read more »
