Pulp Alley is my all-time favourit game system. It´s so versatile with any setting, very narrativ gameplay, easy to learn. I recommend it, try it, Pulp Alley is awesome.
Yep, Dave and co have a really good set of videos on youtube, useful for new and veteran players alike. And the game is great and versatile across multiple genres.
My local shop has a smattering of Pulp Alley books and cards. I’ve been eyeing them but not picked any up yet. This is a nice introduction. Now I know which book and cards to start with. I have a sizable pulp figure collection mainly for Savage Worlds RPG but would work great for Pulp Alley as well.
Sounds good is their a system to make stat card’s for other characters you may want in the game.
Both the main rule book or the more up to date Pulp Leagues book give you the means to create your own characters and leagues completely personalised to how you want them to be.
So if you want a dynamic duo thats easily done, as is a horde of faceless minions controlled by a shady character who never appears on the table.
Haven’t played yet, but keep watching the videos between other things. I really like the miniatures too, especially the Sky Pirates and other air pirate types that remind me of happy days playing Crimson Skies.
