Lead The Exodus Warrior Nations With Stone Fist

Wild West Exodus has some great models and some of the best come from the Warrior Nation faction. No exception to this is Stone Fist on Running Thunder which you can check out below in more detail...
The folks at Wild West Exodus have put this fellow next to a Warrior Nation Hired Hand just to show the scale of the beast. Running Thunder has been infused with earth power and now carries two stolen Union cannons around his chest.
I'm fairly sure that this is the faction for me, if I ever got into the game, simply because of the stunning miniatures. It also helps that they also have a lot of were-creatures to drawn on.
Are you a Warrior Nation supporter?
I like the rider, I like the horse and I even like the running man. The only problem is I think the horse and rider don’t go well together. You have this native chief and the horse is decked out in armor and straps. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but I would have thought animal pelts, feathers in the main would have made it look more like a first nation horse. This horse looks more like a medieval/warmachine than native. Looks good thou, just not for them.
To me the horse looks dreadful. I agree withe the aesthetic being at odds with the indigenous style, though i guess it also could have been war booty as well as the cannons But I just find the idea ludicrous tbh not merely for the weight of the barrels but if the rider could actually light the fuses can you imagine what the recoil would do to the poor mount? Not to mention the rider’s knee caps lol If it were a mechanical beast then maybe, but as is, the horse itself looks like a camel designed by a committee!… Read more »
Point of note should be that it is not a horse, it’s an energy beast. Personally I think it looks kind of cool. I love the armour and I think Running Thunder could really ruin someones day…. 😀 I like the fact that some of the models have a different angel of attack for wargaming. I could have been so easy to follow what has already been done, but they have tried something different. Obviously you can’t like everything, but I think that this is one of their strongest models, if you would excuse the pun. I think I ordered… Read more »
I can understand that its not a natural horse. From what I read its infused with earth spirits or something. So I excepted that as the reason for the ability to have such weapons as cannons on each side. Thats not my problem. It’s only the esthetics of the horse gear that rubs me the wrong way.
Rider looks rather nice but horse not so much.
I cant see the horse. 🙁 is it behind the huge energy beast with the cannons strapped to it? 😉 hehe
