Victrix are building on their Late Roman collection with the release of some awesome new 28mm Armoured Cavalry for you to use when building your Ancient, Dark Age and Arthurian armies. The new plastic kit comes with twelve miniatures that could represent your veteran cavalry adorned in scale and chainmail.

The focus here is on the Romans that would have been fighting during the period of the 4th to 6th Century. They could be used to represent your Late Romans from across a fractured empire plus your Romano British, Byzantines and even Goths if you prefer. Because of the modular nature of this plastic kit, it can be combined with a lot of the other Victrix offerings in order to make a variety of troops.

The set comes with lots of heads, bodies and arms plus weapons like spears, javelins and swords plus a standard bearer and options for a musician. Cloaks can also be used to represent your command figures and give them that extra bit of bling.

These fellows are looking very nice indeed and I could see folks snapping these up for something Historical whilst also thinking about dipping their toe into a bit of the Fantastical too. It wouldn't take much to go Arthurian and involve Merlin and a "moistened bint".

I still have a host of Arthurian miniatures sitting in a box somewhere and I will do something with them one day. It's nice to know that I have some good options for expanding my force with a bunch of the plastic miniatures from Victrix though!

Will you be picking up this plastic kit?
