The University Of Edinburgh's History And Games Lab Productions has announced that they are working on a new supplement for The Men Who Would Be Kings. Available via North Star Military Figures, The Last Samurai Rebellion is coming soon.

Worked by Daniel Mersey and Eric Wood, this is going to shift things from the traditional Late-19th Century clashes present in the initial book. This new addition to your wargaming rules library focuses right in on The Last Samurai Rebellion and the clash for control of Japan.

The original The Men Who Would Be Kings rules allowed you to play out these Historical clashes with a little bit of Hollywood dazzle. In a similar fashion, this new book focused on The Last Samurai Rebellion does something similar and allows you to enjoy the process of wargaming whilst also offering up a fascinating perspective on the period and the forces involved.

It's neat to see another of these smaller supplements coming out that focuses on a specific period of history and tweaks an existing set of rules. We saw that previously with A Viking In The Sun which was built on Lion Rampant and I hope we see similar success here.
