The Labyrinth Fireys Get Ahead On Pre-Order
January 23, 2019 by dracs
River Horse Games have put up the Fireys expansion for Jim Henson's Labyrinth: The Board Game for pre-order.
The Fireys were a weird part of an already weird movie, capable of removing their heads and producing fireballs from their hands.
Although not malicious, they were a real threat for Sarah as they wanted to try and remove her head like they could their own.
The sculpts brilliantly recreate these bizarre, lanky creatures. The poses show their jerky way of moving, while the detail on the hair and faces makes these excellent collector's pieces for fans of the film.
The expansion brings with it five new Labyrinth cards, a rules leaflet, and an alternative sculpt of Jareth, the Goblin King, providing you with new challenges to face within the board game.
Do these remind you of the babe?

Don’t lose your head!
Hey?! Yo heeead don’t com off.
But there were 5 Fireys!
Oh no, what a fail. I think it’s no.3 on this webpage: https://muppet.fandom.com/wiki/The_Fireys who is missing.
And you’d think #4 would be the one to leave out of the fire gang.
fabulous looking models.
Those look very nice.
Eagerly waiting/hoping for a new box with the main game and expansions (at a good combined price).
Is that a normal thing? I don’t see that sort of thing very often.
@odinsgrandson this is where the “hoping” part comes in 😉 That said it would make a lot of sense to provide that “all-in” package when there is still a limited amount of expansions.
Is the sculpter Johnny Fraser-Allen?
Has anyone played this game? Is it awesome, or should I just get the models because I want to paint them?
I haven’t played it with the expansions. The core game is really pretty visually, But game play is pretty much rolling a die and choosing to move left or right. I’m interested to know how much Goblins and Fireys actually changes gameplay.
I have heard that Dark Crystal plays almost the same.
