Kore Games Get Moving With 28mm Vehicles Of The 80s
July 3, 2024 by brennon
Kore Games are on Kickstarter right now during the final days of their latest campaign aiming to bring 28mm Vehicles Of The 80s to the tabletop! Use these for all manner of miniature games, perhaps within the realm of the Pulp?
Vehicles Of The 80s // Kore Games
The Kickstarter is focused around a lot of vehicles from 80s TV that in some cases were the stars of the show regardless of the actors in them! Rather than some of the flashy cars, Kore has been working on sculpting iconic cars that haven't been covered by other companies. This means that there is a good mix of prestige cars, bangers and more that might be familiar to children of the 80s and the 90s.
Robin // Kore Games
The default scale for the vehicles is "Heroic 28mm" which makes the cars around 40-40mm in width and 100mm in length. This obviously depends on the style of vehicle that you've chosen but they should fit in with, as Kore suggest, the likes of 7TV, The Walking Dead and everything else in between.
Countach // Kore Games
This campaign from Kore is looking to offer different options for backers depending on what you prefer. If you like physical miniatures then you can get rewards from this campaign 3D printed on Kore's in-house resin printers. They have tested the prints and the results are looking good!
Allegro And Vanden // Kore Games
If you're coming at this campaign from the STL side of things, the vehicles have been pre-hollowed meaning that they aren't solid blocks of resin. This makes home printing cheaper and stops you from having to hollow it out yourself. You also avoid the problem of the resin on the inside not curing properly.
The T2 Van // Kore Games
There are some awesome vehicles as part of the campaign, my favourite being the Reliant Robin from Only Fools & Horses. It's such an iconic car and I really like the idea of playing a game using the likes of 7TV where the Trotters have to contend with a zombie invasion, escaping in their own haphazard way from a shambling horde.

There are some variants of the different cars for you to choose from and as the campaign has progressed, the Kore team have added more vehicles into the mix and there are some solid stretch goals in the mix too. Make sure to check out the variety of other vehicles from the campaign HERE and tell us if you'll be getting them physically or as digital files!

love the robin
I have a few of their SF vehicles and they’re nice. There are at least a couple of these I can’t resist.
The Robin is a delight. Can’t wait to find a Mr. Bean miniature to knock it around.
