Knuckleduster Release Iconic Plainsmen For The Wild West
September 6, 2019 by brennon
Knuckleduster Miniatures has released their newest set of characters for Gunfighter's Ball which takes their range up to over 100! See what you make of the new Plainsmen set.
The set brings you a lot of very famous characters from the Wild West for you to use as part of your crew in the game. You have Annie Oakley, Buffalo Bill, Wild Bill, Jim Baker, Al Seiber and Billy Dixon. They are all in nice poses which are a good fit for the midst of combat and there are lots of historical cues across the models drawn from pictures and other accounts from the time.
The honour of the 100th miniature goes to Annie Oakley, the deadliest shot in the West.
She wasn't much of a vagabond but she was a dangerous shot winning many medals for her keen-eyed ability to plug a target. If I was an outlaw trying to rob a baggage train out on the plains then I would want to avoid bumping into Annie!
The set of Plainsmen can be snapped up as a set but you can also get them individually if there are particular characters you're interested in.

Wild Bill looks really cool with the two pistols but they all look good. We need more Wild West wargaming in my opinion. Trouble is its kinda limited. Still the minis look cool
Black Scorpion are another good resource of miniatures. Plus, if you can get the Legends Of The Old West rules from somewhere online they are pretty good.
Perfect thanks mate! I’ll check out both. Cheers
@strontydog Sarissa and Battle Flag make excellent buildings. My wife has all of them!
Ah yeah I’ve seen some of Sarissas Old West stuff and it’s really cool. Hoping to pick up some soon. Haven’t heard of Battle Flag though, I’ll check them out. Thanks!
yep, Black Scorpion is the way to go if you want wild west without the fantasy/sf angle.
Thanks I’ve been looking at Dixon Miniatures too, they sell Wild West figures. Foundry as well but from the pics they look a bit cartoony
Ooh nice will be worth getting as gunslinger’s of the west display.
I’m going to be so broke this Christmas!
Why does Annie Oakley have a scatter gun? Shouldn’t such a “deadly” shot have a rifle of some sort?
