Knights Of Dice’s Tarusa Come Down From The Mountains
September 4, 2019 by brennon
Another of the factions from Knights Of Dice's Mirrors of Tullarn has been previewed this week, coming to Kickstarter sometime later in September. Here we have The Tarusa who make their home up in the mountains.
These warriors, much like the Dwarves of other wargaming worlds, make their home in the mountains themselves and cut their cities from the very face of these rocky crags. They are a martial nation obsessed with being the most powerful faction in Tullarn and dominating others.
Their range of weapons was interesting to me as they seem to like wielding a lot of spears but also whips! I would imagine they use them quite a lot for climbing around but they would, of course, make effective weapons when you're looking to subdue and control an enemy combatant. There's something almost gladiatorial about that idea.
It's nice to see a good variety of sculpts coming out for this range as the Tarusa are notably different in attire when compared to the Lahari we saw earlier in the week. Clad in furs and with shaggy beards they really do have that mountain man feel.
As mentioned in our previous coverage, the range is going to be pretty agnostic in terms of rules. This 28mm collection is pretty much free for you to use in whatever game you see fit regardless of the lore they might attach to them as factions. I think they'd be good for themed warbands in Frostgrave or as the start of an army in Warlords Of Erehwon!
What do you make of this second faction preview from Knights Of Dice?

Great looking figures if tall for dwarfs.
Maybe the mountain air helps them grow!
It is good for you fresh air.
Cool looking figures. Been meaning to pick up Knights of Dice terrain. Got a few scatter bits from the missus the other christmas and they went together nicely. A company worth watching imo
Those look really good.
