Knight Models Take To The Skies With Kite-Man & Killer Moth
March 23, 2020 by brennon
It's time for Ben to dive in and have no idea what he's looking at when exploring the Batman Miniatures Game world by Knight Models! The team released two new miniatures last week and we're starting with Kite-Man!
As you might have guessed, Kite-Man has a kite! He is actually quite the villainous foe and uses his ability to take to the skies to defeat his enemies from on high. Again, this is a look into the wider world of DC and Batman which I had absolutely no idea existed. I'm sure there will be plenty of folks who know this character fondly but he seems a little off-the-wall to me!
Stay Away From The Light!
The high-flying villains aren't done yet as Knight Models also released Killer Moth over the weekend too.
Much like Batman, Killer Moth had no superpowers of his own originally, instead relying upon his technology and kit in order to do his villainous work. He even had a selection of kit which mirrored Batman's (Mothmobile, Moth-Signal etc...no joke). As various other versions of Killer Moth were included in the lore he started to develop superhuman strength and drew on more complex technology.
This fellow is another rogue to add to the gallery and is certainly going to be different to paint compared to some of the more classic villains in DC!
Are you going to be snapping up either of these new miniatures?

At least they are not as horribly woke as the new ‘New Warriors’. I’ll take Kite-Man over Safespace & Snowflake any day!
I don’t know if it’s canon, but Killer Moth has a daughter named Kitten.
Finally, Kite Man . . . Hell Yeah!!!
I think KM are deliberately going niche with these webstore exclusives.
That said Kite Man has had some recent high profile moments in the comics. He is something of a joke to the other criminals but manages to strike a chord.
Their new to me.
I’m curious about this new “Legends of the Dark Knight” range of models. The description on the official announcement mentioned webstore exclusive, so I’m wondering if that meant these two models or the entire range. If it is the entire “Legends of the Dark Knight” range, that seems rather counter productive to having game stores carry the game at all. As far as Kite Man goes, if anyone is interested, I highly recommend Tom King’s run of Batman and the “Harley Quinn” animated series on the DC Universe streaming service. King makes Kite Man a tragic figure while the animated… Read more »
