Following up on their announcement at the start of the year Knight Models have a new landing page set up for the Game of Thrones Miniatures Game as they gear up for the upcoming game.
Game Of Thrones Miniatures Game // Knight Models
If you are a fan of the epic Game of Thrones TV series and love playing with miniatures, we have fantastic news for you! We are about to launch the new Game of Thrones Miniatures Game and we want you to be one of the first to know about all the exciting things we have planned for this amazing game.
So, what can you expect from the new Game of Thrones Miniatures Game? This immersive tabletop experience will be packed with exciting clashes and conspiracies between the Great Houses of Westeros, all thanks to highly detailed miniatures depicting your favorite Game of Thrones characters.
Are you ready to join the battle for the Iron Throne?
So far the landing page is just set up to subscribe to the newsletter if you're interested in staying on the cusp of the updates. They do say that in the run-up to the game, they will have updates on the game's development, promotions, gameplay videos and tips and tricks from the developers.
Having seen the most recent Batman movie models they certainly have the chops to reproduce the actors on the tabletop in high detail and I'm keen to see what the gameplay will be like, and what sort of figure count we'll be looking at for the factions. With a GoT mass battle game already out there and their previous games being character-focused around small groups, I'm not sure we'll see massive battles played out but time will tell.
I'm also hoping that the licensing isn't tightly restricted as has happened in the past, if the game is to grow and be supported ideally it needs to have the largest player base it can so fingers crossed for the future.
Winter is coming, after all.
What faction would you play and why would it be the Northmen and Nightwatch under John Snow?

But we already have Song of Ice & Fire miniatures game. Do we really need another one that takes place in Westeros?
depends on the style of game, I’ve no interest in Cool Mini or Not (the website for judging people’s paint jobs) game, I may not have any interest in Knight Models time will tell, but it could be worth it for the miniatures.
The figures may be great to snap up.
What Scale is the question to ask? Darksword and CmoN already make ASoIaF miniatures, so I’m curious what other ranges these will be compatible with.
A competitor to Song of Ice and Fire? Or did CMON lose the license?
Game of Thrones can have its own distinct licensing, as the Song of Ice and Fire is the Novel Series Tie in not the TV show, one of the reasons why there’s no ‘others# but in GoT there the White Walkers with reanimated beasties like Bears and Giants as well as the Night King which doesn’t ‘yet?’ exists in ASOIF.
I think It’ll be a case of wait for more details, before saying if the same or not.
