Knight Models Hint At New DC Heroes & Villains Coming Soon
October 28, 2016 by brennon
Knight Models have included a bunch of previews in their Suicide Squad book, looking ahead to new models for their Batman Miniatures Game or as they've described it, the DC Universe Game. For example leading the way we have Wonder Woman, Batman and Superman!
They're all based on their look from the Batman Vs Superman movie and we have to say as much as the film tanked the actual design of the characters looked great. Superman in particular, is looking very cool.
As well as them a few more sneak peeks popped up showing what we assume is Gorilla Grodd...
...and another hero/villain that we can't place. If you know who she is drop your thoughts in the comments below...
Thanks to citygary for pointing out that she's Raven!
A number of different Goons also appear to be on the way too for The Joker and more.
...and these fellows, Captain Cold and Heatwave.
A few more images also hit the internet but they're so small it's hard to make them out! Either way, the future looks bright for those who enjoy the DC Universe on the tabletop.
Thanks To Tabletop Skirmisher
What do you think?

think the unknown model is of Raven https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raven_(comics)
Thank you!
That is indeed so Raven
The last two are Captain Cold and Heatwave.
Good! Glad to know!
Unless I’m mistaken they’re based on the Arrowverse incarnations from the Flash and Legends of Tomorrow TV shows, if so would be nice to see more characters from those shows.
Are you sure it’s Grodd and not one of the Gorilla City gorillas?
From the Flarrow book that is Grodd. There are other pics showing Gorillas with a plainer look.
I really like Batman and Wonder Woman.
Those are stunning. I am loving that Raven.
good to see that Knight Model’s will continue to support BMG.
really awkward that we get the news from a blogger and not from the company themselves.
Knight Model’s really needs to increase it’s public profile. Steamforged and Corvus Belli are MUCH better at releasing news and communicating with their customer base.
They also had a pic of Hawk
wonder women and superman catching my eye
The DC Universe game is a new game, not another name for BMG. At a guess it will be spun off the Marvel games rulset in the same way that the Spiderman game shares the BMG ruleset. It would make some sense as Justice League level super powers will be difficult to balance in BMG and the Marvel game was designed for that. The problem is that KM will be supporting 4 different comic book games sharing two liscences and two rulesets, and all of them are young games. Plus, they have also announced a Harry Potter game on top… Read more »
I didn’t know they were making a new DC game, i don’t get it why would they make 2 games for DC and Marvel, yes Spiderman was more or less a mod for BMG but i wonder if the knew they would make a Marvel game at that time and on their website the Spiderman game doesn’t even have a own tab it’s under Knight Models Legends.
The Batman game is modelled on the Arkham series of video games and it’s meant to replicate that kind of street level combat. It isn’t fit for purpose for a true supers game which is why KM have never statted up their Superman or Wonder Woman models for it. I expect that in the long-term, one of DCMG or BMG will succeed at the expense of the other. I wouldn’t be surprised if KM make DCMG and MUMG compatible, and that joint game proves to be the most successful superhero game they do, though BMG’s head start coupled with Batman’s… Read more »
I know it made after the videogames, i was there when it started and the rules were free to download but i didn’t really thin about that superpowered stuuf.
But i think in the long run 2 games for one universe is too much so a game like the Marvel one would be the best solution because this way players could do crossovers.
But we will see what Knight Models will do.
they should license Power Legion from Ganesha Games and be done with it.
I think it is extremely likely that DCMG and MUMG will share a ruleset and so be unofficially but obviously compatible with minimal effort. If it turns out to be a third ruleset I would be surprised, but I do hear mixed opinions of the MUMG rules. Some people find them light fast, others feel they lack depth. I am subscribing to the theory that Spiderman was a stop gap game put out quickly to secure the liscence. MUMG turning up just a few months later didn’t really make sense unless KM needed to put something out fast to prevent… Read more »
