Knight Models Tease Batman Miniatures Game 3rd Edition
October 31, 2019 by brennon
Knight Models today has revealed that they are going to be coming Back To Gotham with a new Third Edition of the Batman Miniatures Game.
Now that is a mighty hefty looking box and it will be interesting to see what has changed and been tweaked since the last edition of the game. One would assume that we're going to be seeing Batman go up against his nefarious nemesis, The Joker in the box. It would be a rather iconic clash to see on the tabletop once more.
We shall have to keep an eye out for more information as they have mentioned the next few days will reveal a lot about new releases and the new edition.
Will you be getting into this?

Na, I’m good.
Another edition, I’ve only just bought the current edition box set which was new this year at Salute. Knight Models are fast becoming the new Games Workshop with how quick they change their game system. In the words of the dragons den “I’m out”.
I mean, I didn’t get the dark knight set and I do love me some batman…so maybe?
One thing that should be noted is that Knight Models stated via comments on Facebook and Instagram that all 2nd Edition models and cards will be compatible with this edition, but the Red Hood Joker that went on sale as a part of their 10th Anniversary sale/celebration (salebration?) would be proof against those claims. Personally, I could care less if Knight Models wanted to streamline and update the rules every couple years (I believe 2nd Edition officially launched in 2017). Solid rule changes can be healthy for the longevity of a game. What isn’t healthy is the constant need to… Read more »
What was the story with the new Red Hood? I was considering it but never bought it.
why would you need to repurchase the same models?
I believe he’s refering to other companyes and games, Knight Models already said their range will be compatible with third Edition. They offer the stat cards and the rules for free anyway…
Already?
would be great if you get them painted.
Didn’t they release a starter set this year?
Seems a bit strange.
Incredibly hard pass for someone who loves the minis, DC comics and the current edition but not very fond of Knight Models and how they operate. Hell with that.
Knight Models need to recognise they have two types of customers for this:
– collectors who will suck up new models almost as fast as they can release them
– gamers who don’t particularly need 6 different Batman sculpts but do want to see the game being supported and maintained for the models they’ve invested in.
This starter release might be confusing the two?
