Keep The King’s Peace With A New Chapter Pack For Game of Thrones
August 27, 2015 by deltagamegirl22
Fantasy Flight Games announced the third chapter pack in the Westeros cycle for their Game of Thrones: The Card Game.
Yes, the new pack adds additional features and options for your games, but perhaps even more exciting is that this chapter pack, The King's Peace, introduces a brand new agenda that sure to inspire entirely new types of decks in the game! With 2 new plots- one neutral and one loyal to House Baratheon- players can diversify their decks or focus more specifically into one loyalty.
The new agenda offers you loyalty to the House Frey and The Lord of the Crossing which reads...
"During the first challenge you initiate each phase, each of your participating characters gets -1 STR. During the third challenge you initiate each phase, each of your participating characters gets +2 STR. If you win this challenge, gain 1 power for your faction.”
With an agenda like this, players can claim victory faster, but at the expense of solely focusing their deck on House Frey. This can feel slightly limiting, but very satisfying when victory is accomplished. But to accomplish this feat, the player must make three challenges during their challenge phase, which means as long as you pass them,
The Lord of the Crossing may be the best card you have. However, if you find yourself down on luck and not succeeding the challenges, you may just regret aligning yourself with House Frey.
The King's Peace will be in retail locations in first quarter of 2016 and players will have to choose whether they break or keep The King's Peace.
Are you loyal to the king?
