The Kharadron Overlords Storm Into Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
February 27, 2023 by brennon
Games Workshop has been showing off the upcoming Kharadron Overlords soaring into The Mortal Realms of Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. A new Battletome, new miniature and more are landing this weekend as pre-orders go live for this high-flying band of Duardin.

Leading the way is the new miniature for the Codewright. These fellows know all of the rules that the fleets must adhere to and will be able to find all sorts of loopholes. Push your ships that little bit further, bring in a little more aether-gold and all of that within the Kharadron Code! I can see this fellow being used in a fair few armies and as a Blood Bowl referee. That was a good idea that I spotted when this fellow was previewed!
As well as the new miniature for the Codewright, you can also get your hands on the new Vanguard set for the Kharadron Overlords. This works as a neat entry point into Warhammer Age Of Sigmar.

You get an Arkanaut Admiral, a ten-man Arkanaut Company, three Endrinriggers (or Skywardens) and then an Arkanaut Frigate. This is a solid set for those looking to get started with a solid set of troops, some specialists and a fancy flyer!
All of these new miniatures can be shepherded to the tabletop with the new Battletome for the Kharadron Overlords.
Order Battletome: Kharadron Overlords // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
This book comes with all of the updated rules that you'd expect from a Battletome release and there is also a new set of Path To Glory rules in the mix as well. So, you can take your Kharadron Overlords from a fledgling enterprise that is scouring the skies to a full-blown company ready to exploit the realms for your own gain.
As well as the new Battletome, you can also get your hands on the new Warscroll Cards and Dice.

Dice - Kharadron Overlords // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
You might want to snap these up if you're a veteran when it comes to the Kharadron Overlords. Some nice dice to be rollin' and those Warscroll Cards could end up being useful, at least for a while, when it comes to referencing what your troops can do.
New Regiments Of Renown
As well as the Kharadron Overlords, Games Workshop is also putting together new Regiments Of Renown boxed sets which offer up mercenary forces that can be used to fight alongside your army.
Veremord's Shamblers // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
These miniatures can be dropped into your Grand Alliance as a job lot to give you a thematic boost to your army. More rules for how these work are available HERE and Games Workshop will be releasing more information for free later this week but essentially, they are deployed together on the tabletop and give you a neat kernel of theme to play around with.
The Coven Of Thryx // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
Norgrimm's Rune Throng // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
For the most part, these sets consist of a character miniature and then a set of troops or monsters that match them. There is then a special rule that gets added into the mix alongside them to give you an extra boost during your games. It might also help you tailor the narrative of your force.
Hargax's Pit-Beasts // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
Elthwin's Thorns // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
Big Grikk's Kruleshots // Warhammer Age Of Sigmar
It's an interesting bundle of miniatures across the collection for a variety of different armies. I'm not entirely sure these were needed but I suppose they could be a good way to get a boost to your new Vanguard force in one place. I wonder how these miniature sets are priced so we can see if they are worth picking up at the very least.
Will you be snapping up these new releases?

I see a little Santa Clause making his lists….
Some great looking figures their.
While I normally love the Kharadrons, the fact that we haven’t gotten a whole lot of new things for them apart from new heroes is a bit annoying. Heck, some of those new releases for the Squats like the giant exo-suit for Necromunda would have been better as Kharadrons.
