Games Workshop has been previewing a new miniature coming to The Mortal Realms and Warhammer Age Of Sigmar. The Codewrights of the Kharadron Overlords are settling in as the biggest rules lawyers in the tabletop business as these Duardin get a new Battletome soon.

These sticklers for the rules are the ones that interpret the Kharadron Code and make sure that their fellow Duardin follow it to the letter. They are also incredibly good at working out loopholes in the rules and twisting things to match their specific needs at a given moment.

With their very specific knowledge of the Kharadron Code, they are able to give you some neat in-game benefits which will mean that you can tweak your fleet to match your preferred way of playing. I think the miniature is great fun and I like the transportable library that this fellow is carrying on his back. You've also got mechanical arms supporting his various bits of reading material, meaning that he is able to spend more time berating his fellow Duardin.
The new rules for the Codewright and the updated rules for the Kharadron Overlords as a whole can be found within the new Battletome which is coming soon.

It certainly nails the theme and feel of these particular Duardin, soaring out of the clouds with guns blazing. The Steampunk vibe was one that I wasn't massively sold on in particular for the Dwarfs of The Mortal Realms at first but I have really come to enjoy them as a faction. They seem like they'd be great fun to paint and game with. Well, as long as you like painting vehicles!
Watch out for this new Battletome and more coming later this year...

I liked the outtake on twitter for the “Codewright”: “Here we see the average Warhammer playing bringing all the books he needs to play one game of Warhammer” XD Pretty fitting description in my book
Thats a good meme.
Another meme I like is how the name “CodeWright”, feels really close to “Copyright”.
Shear coincidence.?
That looks nice and is also very meta joke.
Lol he’s going to the Doc’s an expecting to have to wait ?
Those baloon boys better watch out for them F-35s…
The line from the “Codewright” outtake that said, “Here we see the ordinary Warhammer playing bringing all the books he needs to play one game of Warhammer” really stood out to me. It’s a pretty good description in my book. basketball stars
Sadly I sold a good chunk of my unpainted Kharadron earlier this year, but a dwarf lawyer who needs power armor to carry all his legal books is HILARIOUS
Games Workshop has been previewing a new Kharadron Overlords miniature called the Codewright. The Codewright is a Aether-Khemist who is skilled in the art of writing and deciphering aetheric code. They are responsible for maintaining the Kharadron Overlords’ airships and other technological devices. SSEGold
