Kev White’s Emo Assassin Is Looking For His Dog
October 4, 2019 by avernos
The Hasslefriesian, Kev White, has been showing off his current WIBP (you'll have to ask him what the B stands for) and this time it's a rather dapper gentleman. Smartly dressed in a bespoke suit striding forward with a purpose this Boogeyman is not someone you want to cross.
One of the many things I love about Kev's sculpts is the amount of dynamism he crams into even a simple sculpt of a man walking forward. The simple flow of the lines of his suit and the focused rage on his face makes him instantly recognisable. While it's still in the work in progress phase and could at any moment be stripped down and restarted he looks like he is already a man on a mission with at least one set of alternative arms ready.
I don't imagine that the main body is going to change massively now, with some tweaks and tidying up will get it into a position were Kev is happy enough to unleash this killer of killers on the world, the only question that remains is, are we going to see a pencil variant?
Clearly attending Oates military academy in Alaska worked out well for Ted "Theodore" Logan, III . Now I just have to decide what game I will drop him into to rock.
Wyld Stallyns Rule!!

If there isn’t a pencil variant someone should custom that. Wheres Thomas Miennes when you need him?
That would be the over 9000 nuke option. I want.
I am absolutely amazed at the detail on that 416. Now, who killed his dog this time?
Kev White is a legend, if you’ve not seen his work before check out Hasslefree, you’ll find many familiar faces among the pages
His not-Vikings are some of the nicest sculpts I own but have not yet painted!
I know. I have the post apo Scooby Doo gang, Immortan Trump, a shitload of civilians, Alyx and I just ordered another bunch of minis off Hasslefree as part of the last order before B Day. I’ve never seen more detailed shoe laces on 28mm minis than on his stuff.
I discovered the other day that Kev has never seen the Boondock Saints. This stands in the way of me owning the brothers and 6 gun waistcoat dad.
My plan is to post him a bottle of whisky and a copy of the dvd
Could you send him a copy of ‘Leon’ or ‘Ronin’ as well, I’d love to see Jean Reno as a mini, haha. Gary Oldman would be the icing on that cake.
Love the sculpt, but had to google to see which movie it is based on… I really am behind the times of modern cinema. The pencil reference is lost on me!
It’s a story a gangster tells his son to explain how deadly he is
“he killed 3 men with a fuckin’ pencil, who does that?”
Honestly well worth watching, the world and gun fu in it are a fantastic setting that I won’t spoil.
The John Wick trilogy is worth watching for the gun fights alone, because you can see what’s happening unlike Jason Bourne trilogy where you don’t know who is hitting who half the time.
Most Excellent!
He needs a phone cell
Be looks like a great guy to remove people getting on your wick?
here he goes again. amazing stuff, I have tons of their minis and every salute my collection grows.
That is going to be a most excellent mini.
A nice Gerry miniature lol
You’d never see Gerry in a tie (unless it would be in court) 😀
it’s the apocalypse, so he’s dressed up for the occasion lol
You just have to love Kev, I know I do.
Kev hits it out the ballpark yet again. He’s also one of the few sculptors that has figures with pistols using the proper grip (most have them “waving around your arms like you just don’t care”), I’m sure it’s normally avoided as it’s a pain to cast and might mean it needs to be multipart. Still Kev’s just one of the best sculptors and it proves that CAD sculpting just results in bad poses as the sculptor doesn’t have the 3D sculpt in his/her hands (they are little works of art from Kev) 🙂
@avernos try these, they have the advantage of being free
Though you will have to print them out.
https://www.twohourwargames.com/chrefive.html
They are the base system behind the rules
If you go back to free rules there is one for games with stick with sharp ends.
I’ve not checked this version out but played many of the older version games.
I may need two so I can build and paint both variants.
Kev white really is my favorite sculptor.
