Kabuki’s First Knight Has Been Released to Lead Humanity
May 15, 2015 by dracs
The First Knight, ironically the last of Kabuki's Knights of Legend range, has now been released onto their webstore.
The First Knight is, as his name might suggest, the grandest of all the Knights of Legend Kabuki have created. Wielding a sinister taloned power claw and wearing incredibly ornate power armour, the First Knight stands out as an immediately recognisable figure, covered in striking iconography.
The First Knight is most likely inspired by the traitorous primarch Horus. In this, I think Kabuki have got the character's messianic charisma perfectly. This Knight of Legend makes for an excellent painting project, whether or not it is used in gaming or just kept as a collector's piece.
Have you picked up any of the Knights of Legend? What are your thoughts on their First Knight?

FW horus model is MUCH cooler.
Awful, cheap looking and inferior.
the legs look way too long and the guns are too small .. looks like someone is getting tired of making GW knockoffs
It depends on how tall the character is.
GW Spacemarines are notoriously too small and the weapons too big
If they been genetically mutated to be giants, the body would be much bigger in proportion to the head, unless the head is enlarged too, though there would be no need to do that.
These on the hand hatamoto, is what GW or FW should be actually producing. Incredible detail large enough to be the space marine who is eight foot tall, not the same size as the guard. But why the heck are we even putting these in comparison to GW.
I think they are being compared to GW, specifically Forgeworld, because it appears to have been HEAVILY inspired by artwork and the model of the primarch Horus which is legitimately produced by Forgeworld.
I must admit I find myself being a bit of a hypocrite when it comes to these kabuki ‘primarch’ – I had no problem with them before GW started producing their own, i thought they were a bit cheeky but filling aa gap in the market, but now that there are actual GW primarchs, I struggle to justify the continued trend to copy a superior product.
Very nice mini! People complaining that the guns/weapons are too small need to think outside of the GW comic book look.
Im having a hard time doing that seeing as the rest of the model is having that exact over the top GW look. @chiby, what i meant was the legs are too long in relation to the upper body, atleast from what i can spot in the pictures.
Guessing the guns are roughly the same size as GW weapons, but on a Primarch-sized model.
Rubbish knockoff.
Kabuki need to develop an imagination before developing more models.
That looks rather good.
…next!
