Kabuki Work on Bringing Some New Bodies to the Legio Praetoriana
April 29, 2014 by dracs
Kabuki Models have been working on the next set of their Legio Praetoriana and have just previewed the first parts, which they promise will be fully compatible with the currently available halberdiers.
These pieces look, if anything, even more ornate than the Legio Praetoriana we have already seen, although the style of the helmets suggests these guys might not be quite as elite as their halberd wielding companions.
The fact that these new pieces will be compatible with the other Legio models opens up some great new posing options. Hopefully we will soon be seeing all of them painted up and forming part of a cool sci-fi army.
This lot must suffer horrendous casualties from enemies taking cover in the blind zones afforded by those shoulder pads… intricate sculpting but a bit same old same old.
Bigger pauldrons, I say! Bigger! Of course, if GW put these figures out, instead of Kabuki, the shoulder pads would be beyond reproach, and all the GW loyalists would be mashing the ‘thumbs down’ button to send me to the abyss of the unbelievers, as I most assuredly deserve :-).
Good thing he’s wearing a helmet. If he lifted his arms he’d crush his skull lol.
Oooh spiked Prussian Helmets. Does this mean they get an extra attack in Close Combat? =P
Seriously though they do look nice if a little bit same old same old.
Headbutt dice pool, STR + 1 for spiked helmet. 🙂 Damage dice for shoulder block? Don’t ask.
