Join The Shieldwall With New Viking Shields From Tabletop-Art
December 7, 2016 by brennon
Tabletop-Art appears to be on the ball when it comes to their bits and pieces for the tabletop as they show off their Viking Shields for your Dark Age warband...
The shield designs come with some rather regular looking creations here showing plenty of battle damage and then some with proper sculpted on designs meaning you don't have to go down the route of free hand painting!
I may have to pick some of these up for use with my Viking warband for SAGA. I could certainly see these strapped onto the arms of my Hearthguard and some key warriors to mark out individual characters.
What do you think of these shields?

nice shields the 3D details will make them easier to paint.
Love them, while I would love to do the designs free hand I know my limitations – and even more what I have the time and patience for … molded on designs are the next best thing, a step up from solid colour
These would definitely be fun addons!
They look good depending on their diameter

[begin pettiness]Just to be anal for a moment Vikings didn’t strap any part of their shield to their arms[/ end pettiness]
Good point, a Viking shield was hand held, so you can pose them much more interesting than just strapped on to the arm
I’d love to put these on my Frostgrave soldiers. The variety of design would really fit well since they’re all supposed to be mercenaries, so perhaps from various clans and disbanded tribes.
