The bases are really well painted (of course) but I think I need to see them for real. From the photos they are just missing something……… I might be used to Maxi Mini I guess. I think it might be the lack of chequer plate steel.
The lack of diamond plating is actually one of the things that sold me on this set. You see a lot of diamond plate on ship deck bases – but not on any real ship decks. Of course given the number of people that have asked for it I’ll have a full set of diamond plate bases to join my pierced steel plating ones 🙂
That turret is painted up really well. But the thing that stands out to me is that it look more modern warfare than sci-fi. I can see that on a tank of today. Its not beyond the scope of reality in my view. Good gob 🙂
Thanks! I know that some folks out there might want our sci-fi AFV to be more… well, sci-fi. I think it’s easier to appreciate a vehicle model if you only have to suspend your disbelief slightly. With the exception of the weapons and some small features this will be a vehicle you could see on the battlefield today.
That turret looks realy tasty!
