Infamy Climb Kickstarter Like a Steampunk Chimp
July 20, 2014 by dracs
Infamy: Welcome to the Big Smoke has been going well on Kickstarter and recently unveiled their 500 backer stretch goal, a steampunk chimp who is hanging around a London street sign.
This climbing chimp is, of course, a new member of Uncle John's disturbing menagerie and I think promises to be the best of the faction's sculpts so far. The sight of a steampunk chimp swinging from a street sign just adds to the cinematic style of Infamy. The model apparently features a blank street sign option as well, meaning you can send your chimp clambering over any part of London you fancy.
What is your opinion of this latest member of the animal kingdom? Have you decided to place a pledge on this Kickstarter?
I’m looking forward to seeing how these characters and creatures play out on the tabletop, and also helping to develop these rules. The sculpts for Uncle John’s menagerie are looking fantastic.
Monkeys! Everyone loves monkeys! 🙂
The minis for this look great. Do we know anything about the game ?
@erastus and Pirates and Ninjas. A monkey pirate ninja you’d be on to a winner 🙂
Take a bow, Sam. That is the greatest headline in the history of BoW!
I will probably jump on this eventually – primarily for the GB crossover mini – but I don’t really know much about the game, I assume there’s a fair bit of info about just need to do my research I suppose. They are very, very lovely but blimey they’re pricey!
The game is currently under development, as part of the kick starter backers get access to a digital living rulebook, which the backers can provide feedback on as it develops. The game itself is a skirmish level game using a combination of dice and playing cards if you want to hear more about it, there are couple of interviews with James Griffiths.

Thanks for the links @tojale
Thanks for the info too @tojale – will definitely have a gander!
No problem peeps happy to help.
It’s a low model-count game, a gang will only field around 3-6 minis in a game. That means the Skirmish pledge level is enough to start playing (if you have an opponent), and Battle would be enough for two people.
Looks like a small outlay to get in. I think I’ll have to bring the subject up tomorrow at club night.
Everyone should get in! I know I’ve been quiet about this and haven’t really mentioned it, but I’m pledged to this and think it’s the badger’s nadgers. Or maybe the pigeon’s nigeons.
High praise indeed 🙂
