Wargame Exclusive’s Imperial Wolves Prime Heads To Battle
March 27, 2017 by brennon
Wargame Exclusive has added their new Imperial Wolves Prime to their webstore as a limited edition piece. Standing at 56mm he is quite the imposing figure.
Without beating around the bush, this effectively makes for a stand in for Leman Russ by Forge World if you are looking for an alternative. He certainly looks the part of a wolf-lord with some great detail work going into the armour, weapons and fur.
The touch of the clawed boots really is a nice one too, but I think that the model is a little bit busy (even for my standards) across the board. I like the style of the sword a lot and whilst I don't think I could see myself picking him up he could make for a fun painting project.
What do you think?

great Viking marine.
A waste of sculpting talent. The details are nice enough but the all round design is crap. Clawed boots look terrible. Subject matter is uninspired. If these sculptors turned their attention to something other than copying other companies, they would produce some great works.
Yep ….. I concur,. You have succinctly expressed what I was thinking.
PS
(Since we think alike, I have the name of a great Psychiatrist for when you get those “Everyone is looking at me let’s eat their eyeball moments” …. He really helps 😀 )
You get those too? I thought I was a unique snowflake :'(
Not bad.
I wouldn’t say too busy though, just a bit too clunky, particularly the backpack.
You wonder why they did. Maybe Forgeworld hadn’t done a “Wolf Prime” when they started but it would’ve been a certainty it would follow their other “Primes”.
