Idoneth Deepkin & Nurgle Start Collecting Sets Coming Soon
February 18, 2019 by brennon
Games Workshop is dropping two new Start Collecting Sets for Age Of Sigmar next weekend. The first of these is for the Idoneth Deepkin.
The set comes with a set of Battleline troops alongside a Leader figure and finally some cavalry in the background who will help you swoop in on your foes. The Idoneth Deepkin are an interesting lot as they have some of those key aspects of Elves that we've loved but with that very High Fantasy twist.
I don't think I'll ever get over the aetheric sea thing but I do love the style of their figures and they'd be a lot of fun to paint.
Putrid Pestilence
As well as the Idoneth Deepkin you'll also find the Maggotkin Of Nurgle.
These fellows are some of your heavily armoured and armed warriors that will fight on the front line of your Nurgle army. Looking very much the part these would, again, be very fun to paint. I think you'd have a lot of fun working on the bloated flesh and the dark, rotten armour.
Much like with the Idoneth Deepkin there's the Battleline troops, Leader and some flying beasts in the background too.
Which of these two would you pick up?

The more Start Collecting sets, the better, in my books
Both very good sets.
It’s good to see GW put out even more Start Collecting boxes.
GW is really starting to turn things around, though they are still capable of releasing some real stinkers. Not a fan of either of these factions, but I like the concept. How can bundling models together and making them cheaper be bad? I picked up the Mortis Engine bundle a few months back, and am quite happy with it. I’ve wanted one for beards.
I actually bought a new release the other day… first time in years: the Genestealer motorcycles and quad. All they need is a head and weapon swap, and they will fit perfectly into my near future recce troop.
Two set’s of good models love the big fly’s good for horror games.
