Hunt Vampires As The Dawnguard In The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms
February 13, 2023 by brennon
Modiphius has been delving deeper into The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms with two new sets of miniatures and an expansion pack for this 32mm Fantasy wargame. The focus continues to be on the Dawnguard with this set of releases as we get a peek at both vampires and those that hunt them!
Vampire Fledglings // The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms
The first of the sets that Modiphius has been showing off is this pack of Vampire Fledglings. They have been drawn into the heart of Clan Volkihar and will do whatever they can to raise their status within the family. I love how the miniatures truly zone in on the monstrous quality of these fledglings and, whilst still at the bottom of the ladder, there is the chance that they could be twisted into terrible killing machines later down the line.
As well as the Vampire Fledglings, there is also a pack of Death Hounds which can be sent forth to hunt down anyone who would dare to threaten Clan Volkihar. I don't think I'll be playing fetch with those particular doggos.
Have no fear though as the Dawnguard Vampire Hunters are on hand to deal with these bloodsuckers.
Dawnguard Vampire Hunters // The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms
Armed with a mix of weapons, this set features the Dawnguard Scouts who have their crossbows at the ready. What better way to deal with a vampire than to stake them from afar? They also carry their brutal axes for finishing the job. You also have the Vampire Hunters themselves who carry brutal, crushing hammers.
I really like the aesthetic of the Dawnguard and I think it would be great to run a warband of them in your games of Call To Arms. You could mix them in alongside a selection of different character miniatures to tell a side story within the realm of Skyrim.
Want to play as the Dawnguard or the vampires of Clan Volkihar? You can pick up the new expansion pack from Modiphius which features all the bits and bobs you need to get stuck in.
Dawnguard Card Pack // The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms
The set continues to expand the rules and offer up options to play as Dawnguard, Vampires, Bandits, Spriggans and more Adventurers. You'll also find a new Battle Mode and Delve Quests plus more for expanding the narrative solo/cooperative side of the game.
The set is absolutely packed with the cards and such that you need for gameplay and if you'd like to dive a bit deeper, it's worth having a peek at their full breakdown over on the Modiphius webstore.
Could you be tempted to go down the route of vampire hunting in The Elder Scrolls: Call To Arms?
