House Bolton, previously a band of mercenary neutral warriors for A Song Of Ice & Fire: The Miniatures Game, are striking out as their own mini-faction in CMON's mass battle Fantasy wargame. Prepare to cut throats and backstab plenty of your allies as you work to take over Westeros.

House Bolton Joins A Song Of Ice & Fire: The Miniatures Game

House Bolton are going to be getting themselves a new Starter Set that will be a good starting point for anyone diving into this A Song Of Ice & Fire. The set comes with all the miniatures, accessories and rules you need to run this army on the tabletop.

There aren't many allies on the side of the Boltons (who would have guessed?) and so there are going to be a few dedicated units tied to the Boltons included in the new Starter Set. You will get two units of the Cutthroats alongside a unit of Blackguards. These have previously been released as neutral units that could have fought alongside a mix of different armies.

The new unit that will be joining House Bolton comes in the form of the Dreadfort Archers. The miniatures are all looking just as horrible as you would have imagined the Boltons to be and I'm sure there will be a fair few folks seeking to play as these villainous and ambitious backstabbers.

As well as the new units, there will also be some additional characters for you to pick up. Jeyne Pool and Fat Walda will be introduced to the mix, working behind the scenes and twisting fate to their own ends. You'll also be able to watch out for a new Bolton Heroes boxed set and some Dreadfort Spearmen. These will be unique to House Bolton as they are some of their more elite units and don't throw their lot in with other factions.

Some of the sets within the Starter Set will have two sets of cards though. So, you'll be able to use them as Neutral allies alongside the likes of the Starks or the Lannisters but also be available only to the Boltons if you want to make a proper mini-faction army.

Additional cards for House Bolton will be included for the Bastard's Girls and the Flayed Men so if you already have those units, you can bolster your army with them. More Bolton goodness is coming out in the near future so make sure to watch out to see what CMON have up its sleeves.
