The Horus Heresy Space Wolves Get A New Legion Praetor
September 22, 2023 by brennon
If you're diving into The Horus Heresy with the Space Wolves, you might want a new leader to take the fight to the likes of the Thousand Sons and the rest of those damnable Traitors. Games Workshop and Forge World previewed a new miniature this week joining the ranks.

This Legion Praetor comes with a mighty Frost Axe which is going to be handy for cleaving through Power Armour. He himself is clad in Fenrisian-style Æether-rune armour which keeps all but the most deadly of blows from penetrating and bringing him down. You'll also note he has a massive Fenrisian Wolf pelt on his back alongside a shield plus a firearm for when he's done with the melee fighting.
Space Wolves Legion Praetor - Details // Warhammer: The Horus Heresy
A great miniature that I think a lot of folks are going to want to pick up. I've always liked the Space Viking style of the Space Wolves and this comes out more in The Horus Heresy range I think than the Warhammer 40,000 one. I reckon that I would go with the unhelmeted head as I think it's cool zoning in on the individual warriors when it comes to the Space Wolves.
New Space Wolves Helmets
As well as the new Legion Praetor, there are also some new helmets that you can pick up to go with your Space Wolves.
Space Wolves MKVI Legion Heads // Warhammer: The Horus Heresy
These miniatures seem to have been added into the mix to replace the wolf-headed versions that we saw released previous to this. They instead have additional design elements on the top of the helmet and the stylised vents in the front which match up with the idea of the Space Wolves. You'll also note the unhelmeted head which offers you a good option for those leading the way.
Will you be picking up this new Legion Praetor or these heads?

not a player of the game but really like the look they went with here
Great improvement over those stupid wolf-like helmets.
pretty bad-ass to be fair
